Why Choose Ambor Structures

Decades of Pole Expertise. One Accountable Partner.

When you partner with Ambor, you work directly with the engineers designing your structure — with open communication, intelligent design and on-time delivery at every step.

Excellence in Product Quality

Every Ambor structure includes a quality control report. Our plants hold ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN 1090 certification, and our welding is performed to AWS D1.1 and CSA W47.1 by certified welding personnel.

Customer Relationship Focused

We treat your project as our own: exceptional support, tailored solutions and a team that works closely with you so your structures arrive correct, complete and on schedule.

Advanced Engineering Abilities

More than 20 in-house engineers deliver customized engineering and consultation, optimizing each design for performance, efficiency and cost under U.S. and international codes.

Don't Gamble on Inexperience

In steel structure manufacturing, experience and communication are critical. A supplier with less experience or poor client communication can mean missed deadlines, subpar quality and designs that miss your project's needs — leading to costly delays and unexpected issues. Ambor's leadership brings 20+ years of steel pole manufacturing experience to every order.

Is Ambor Right for Your Project?

When Ambor Is the Right Fit

Ambor Structures is the right steel pole partner when a project needs custom engineering more than a catalog part. That includes work that crosses industries, ships internationally, sits on a remote site, or calls for high mast lighting or small wind expertise.

Fit 01

Your project needs more than one kind of structure

One engineering team designs your utility, telecom, lighting and wind structures together, so loads, foundations and schedules line up across the whole job.

  • One point of contact from quote to delivery
  • Consistent design basis and QC documentation
  • Combined structures like hybrid solar-wind light poles
Proven onWhole Foods, New York — custom hybrid solar and wind light poles for UGE.
Fit 04

You need high mast or sports lighting poles

Ambor designs high mast poles with motorized circular raising and lowering systems, so crews service luminaires at ground level, and sports poles engineered around your fixture loads.

  • High mast to AASHTO, EN 40 and PLG07
  • Sports lighting poles 70–80 ft and taller
  • Brackets and hardware for stadium retrofits
Proven onBeijing Daxing Airport — 204 sets of high mast poles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Steel Pole & Tower FAQs

Quick answers about Ambor Structures, our engineering standards and how we compare.

What does Ambor Structures do?

Ambor Structures engineers and manufactures custom steel poles and structures for five markets: utility (transmission, distribution and substation structures), telecom (monopoles, concealment poles and components), lighting (sports lighting, high mast, parking, roadway and smart solar poles), small wind (distributed wind turbine poles and foundations) and custom engineered structures. Every structure ships with a quality control report.

When is Ambor Structures the right steel pole supplier?

Ambor Structures is the right fit when a project needs custom engineering rather than a catalog part: projects that need more than one kind of structure, sites outside the United States, remote or extreme sites, high mast or sports lighting, distributed wind turbine towers, and designs that must work with existing foundations or unusual loads. Ambor's 20+ in-house engineers design every structure, and each one ships with a quality control report.

Where is Ambor Structures located?

Ambor Structures' U.S. office is at 400 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite 250, Venice, FL 34285, open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Manufacturing takes place in two company-owned facilities: a 90,000 sq ft plant purchased in 2013 and a 200,000 sq ft plant purchased in 2020.

What engineering standards does Ambor Structures design to?

Ambor designs to U.S. and international codes, including ANSI/TIA-222-G for telecom and wind towers, ASCE 7 for minimum design loads, AASHTO specifications for high mast and highway luminaire supports, IEC 61400-1 for wind turbine support structures, EN 1090 and Eurocode 3 for welded steel and fatigue, EN 40 for light columns, PLG07 for high masts, AS/NZS 1170.2 for wind actions, ACI 318 for structural concrete, and AWS D1.1 and CSA W47.1 for welding.

What quality and safety certifications does Ambor Structures hold?

Ambor's quality documentation includes ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), ISO 3834 (welding quality), EN 1090 and EN 40 certification, AWS welding certifications, a CWB letter of validation and International Institute of Welding credentials. Copies are available on the Technical Information page.

Does Ambor Structures ship steel poles internationally?

Yes. Ambor has delivered structures to projects in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, France, Greenland, the Adriatic Sea, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Vanuatu, and maintains service areas on all seven continents.

What is a high mast lighting pole with a raising and lowering system?

A high mast pole is a tall lighting structure used for highways, interchanges, ports, rail yards, airports and large parking areas. A circular raising and lowering system brings the luminaire ring down to ground level so crews can service fixtures without a bucket truck or crane. Ambor manufactures high mast poles with motorized circular raising and lowering systems, including 204 sets for Beijing Daxing Airport.

What is a wood pole equivalent (WPE) steel pole?

A wood pole equivalent steel pole is a steel distribution pole engineered to match the strength class of a standard wood utility pole, so a utility can substitute steel without redesigning the line. Ambor publishes a Wood Pole Equivalent list on its Technical Information page.

What is a monopine?

A monopine is a telecom monopole concealed to look like a pine tree so it blends into its surroundings, which often helps with zoning approval. Ambor engineered and manufactured a 125 ft monopine for APC Towers in Palm Bay, Florida.

How does Ambor Structures compare to Sabre Industries, Valmont Telecom and Arcosa Telecom Structures?

Sabre Industries, Valmont Telecom and Arcosa Telecom Structures are established U.S. manufacturers with a heavy focus on U.S. utility and wireless carrier programs. Ambor Structures is a focused steel pole specialist that custom engineers each structure across utility, telecom, lighting, small wind and engineered structures, designs to both U.S. and international codes, and gives customers direct access to its team of 20+ engineers. Projects that span industries, ship outside North America, or need small wind or high mast lighting expertise are a natural fit for Ambor.

Is Ambor Structures an alternative to Larson Electronics light towers?

They solve different problems. Larson Electronics is known for portable industrial lighting such as telescoping light masts and explosion-proof fixtures for temporary or mobile use. Ambor Structures manufactures permanent, foundation-mounted steel lighting poles for sports fields, high mast, parking and roadway applications, custom engineered for the wind loads and site conditions of each project.

How do Allstate Tower and MICA Steelworks differ from Ambor Structures?

Allstate Tower, based in Henderson, Kentucky, manufactures and installs communications towers. MICA Steelworks, based in Haltom City, Texas, fabricates substation, lattice tower, tubular pole and highway structures. Ambor Structures combines custom engineering and manufacturing of steel poles across five industries, with assembly manuals, foundation options such as QuikBase and engineering support for projects worldwide.

Does Ambor Structures provide installation and assembly documentation?

Yes. Ambor publishes manuals for standard and hydraulic tower assembly, motorized tower raising systems, high mast raising and lowering operation and installation, direct embedded and planted section pole installation, transmission structure assembly, QuikBase foundation assembly, tower grounding, recommended bolt torque, tower un-nesting and container unloading.

How do I request a quote from Ambor Structures?

Call 941-655-POLE (7653), email sales@amborstructures.com or use the contact form. Including the structure type, height, attached loads (antennas, luminaires or turbine), site location and design wind speed, foundation preference and required delivery date helps the engineering team respond quickly.
